Judy Johnson
began sculpting at 6 yrs. old in Pennsylvania. It all started with a miniature dog out of modeling clay. As she grew into an adult, she followed her heart into an art career graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA as a commercial designer. She was drawn to Los Angeles where she designed magazine ads and video packaging for the movie industry. Upon moving back east she became communications director for a wealth management firm while pursuing the idea of professional quilt making. After being juried into her first national quilt show, and as a gift to herself, she splurged by purchasing felting needles and three small bags of wool. The rest is history.
She is now living out more of her dreams by being able to work as a teacher and sculptor specializing in needle felted miniature cats. Her art can be found in galleries on the east coast and in her Etsy shop.
